Will Your Lights Go Out When the Lights Go Out?
Ken Schroeder, Vice President for Business Continuity
Southeast Corporate

Session Description
Make sure your Business Continuity (BC) plan Works! This session will look at some of the aspects of BC planning that often get overlooked. It will give you a different way to look at your entire planning process. Enterprise Risk Planning, one of today's buzz topics, is a key element in BC planning. No ERP? That's ok, but you still need to view threats, risks, and mitigations. You've got your plan written--where you go in a hurricane, where IT recovers, how to recall your staff, including how you'll address a pandemic. But will it really work? We will rephrase the questions into a simple, easy-to-understand approach to evaluate your plan. Looking at the phases of a disaster, you will walk away with a different perspective--one that will help you make sure your plan works--whether you are customer service representative, senior management, or a Board member.
