As if the economic turndown wasn’t enough to challenge credit unions, in the first two quarters of 2009, credit unions have been waiting and watching for the outcome of NCUA’s proposed corporate credit union stabilization plan, as well as monitoring ongoing discussions of plans to revamp the entire corporate credit union system. How will these and other industry, regulatory and economic challenges impact the credit union industry? What are the best remedies?
This session will begin with a presentation by Chairman Fryzel regarding the corporate stabilization and other critical issues and will be followed up by a panel discussion among industry leaders who will address these and other timely issues impacting credit unions today.
