With every new wave of technology to the industry, there is a whole new set of security issues. To protect your credit union’s information, you need to understand the new threats that come with the new (and sometimes old!) technology. This session is designed to help those with the responsibility for IT Governance to properly equip themselves with an understanding of emerging IT security issues. We will walk through the current environment and what is expected of your credit union. About the Speaker
Catherine Bruder is the Director of Information Technology Assurance for Doeren Mayhew, a Certified Public Accounting firm in Troy, Michigan. She has completed hundreds of Information Technology audits over the last 19 years. A well-rounded IT risk specialist, she works with organizations to design and implement security programs to assure information system control. She is responsible for the planning and supervision of all forms of technology assurance including IT reviews, network vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, security program development, war dialing, password cracking, and disaster recovery planning. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional, a Certified Information Security Manger, and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. She has sat on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) IT Executive Board and the AICPA Risk Assessment Task Force that wrote Audit Guide providing technical guidance on the new Risk Assessment standards.
